Best of luck with that budget ...

Why's that? P.S. I friggin love your truck. Out of just about every vehicle on here, yours is in my top 3 to listen to at some point in my life. thank you Sir ... and this is why ... a trailblazer built by team Linear / Blues ... 4 8's isoberic style with external port tuning to 28 htz ... Spl up in the higher 140s musically !!! very small footprint making very BIG noise !!! Besides, why would I suggest a pair of drivers when I'm running 4 10's my self in Sound Quality ??
-
Yep, they will all be separate. I want a sort-of 3-way setup that can play down to 30hz without my main sub. On certain songs I think it just sounds better that way. Hell, I can do that with my 6.5" midbass drivers in the doors alone (one in each door) just don't see why you need 2 separate drivers in each door ... but OK ... are you going to port and tune the sub enclosure section ??

I have a Astron Power Supply that I hook to my truck during BIG Events like World Finals or Spring Break Nationals ... But for most shows ... having 5 batteries does have its advantages ... -
I would rather have 4 8s instaead of 2 in this application ported and tuned to 28 htz ... just me
-
will you have separate enclosures for each driver in the door ?? Would it seem better to have a single 8" driver in each door to handle mid bass / sub bass duties ??

Wave Guides - anyone remember those???
White Lightning replied to Kyblack76's topic in Mid's and highs
Waveguides (that I heared) sounded great ... but required ALOT of EQ ... those cars had someting along the lines of 32 band EQs for each guide ... I would run wave guides (not in my SQ truck, but another SQ ride) if they still made them and could afford them ... Back then, there was no such thing as processing and time alignment ... In a Sound Quality realm, there is no telling what those things are capable of with todays technology ... and yes, I do believe they were ahead of their times ... -

There is a small muffler shop in my area that installs them ... He did one hell of a job on my truck ... I love the sound of "Old School" glass packs !!! I had mine dualed out the day I bought my truck ... -
Head units with bluetooth playback?
White Lightning replied to SnowDrifter's topic in Head Units-Processors and Eq's
You could call Kenwood tech support ... They answered all my questions -
You seem to me the type of person that enjoys his mucis rater than blaring obnoxious bass ... If so, this is my kind of system build here ... Simple, clean, and very effective music capabilities ... Very nice set up Sir ... And no, I didn't do any of my fiberglass work either ... Bose always had a clean sound to it ... roomy so to speak. But always laking in the high midrange and highs ... I might would try some imageing tweeters in the A-pillars befor swapping into components sets ... mainly just to see how it would sound ...
