I would chosse the kenwood over the other...real simple to hook up or pay a shop to do it..but yes something like that..if your comfortable enough to install a deck or amp a eq is just as easy.

You can add a 2way or3way crossover or get a. Eq...this way gives u one in and multipal out puts

Take a length of wire....take one end of wire strip it back enough to wrap around rca.take other end and touch chassis of deck if engine nosie goes away.afix end with ring terminaland find screw hole to mount that and maybe sap bit of solder

Put it this way I asked for a horn for single 15 box was huge.alot of movement from sub no sound.I cutt hole bigger for 18 sounded better?

I feel your pain and frustraion on your enclousre..I've read it on the other forum..even if you posted your specs probally every designer would disagree.what I don't get is if you can design your own box..why did you have pete do it..me I tried one never will again.what sucks is you have alit of money and time in this..not happy and destroyed equipment...I say get them reconed and design your own box cause you were happier with it.

crazy my truck did same thing this morning.03 silverado .called my brother this morning said clean the throttle body plates.may have build up.and if your careful clean the mass airflow sensor.havnt tried mine yet will after work.

Its all going to work..my dads boat I put four Kar design 6.5.and a jesnen 12 with image dynamics 5 channel.with Crossfire eq and ipod only.and no bull sounded great!

Diffrence between wetsounds,or even.liquid acoustics which my buddy sells...is they are made to play out in open element project sound far away...car audio stuff does okay close by in boat but wont project sound far.

Boats suk to put stereo in..done few myself fiberglass is a mess suks to cut.I.know ur friend wants to save.if choice u need marine speakers n.amps.if not use whatever kicker does okay.made my own tower pods with clamps Just need welder we saved money but alot of work...

If make you feel better have two brand new 9500 12 mtx can sell at list price if need to be.

DD makes a nice 1/2 din active crossover..havnt used it looks promising.
