4 15's if i ordered the 15"s i was going order four anyway. Then why did you say 3? Either 4 15's or 4 12's if i was you. I personally wouldnt do 3 15's. if you don't have the room for 4 15's then i'd do 4 12's
-
Well how do you plan on wiring them up? I would think 4 12's would be easier to wire up. I dont know I just like even numbers. but with 3 15's you will have more cone area. Peronally I like 15's

Mids/highs Powered off the HU for now until i get some new gear. 2 btl 15s walled on 2 Crescendo 3500's. I just don't want to harm my woofers. are clipped highs as bad as clipped lows? just seems like almost every song in audacity has clipped highs except for a handful. The mixtape is "DJ Cannon Banyon & DJ Dyce - Waka Flocka Flame - Shootin' The Breeze Cookin' That Fire"

Ok here. i got a mixed album that alot of people play. In media player it only seems flat on the highs, and in audacity its the same way. It looks horendous but if I zoom in im not sure what to think. So here is zoomed in. If i put a low pass of 80 hz on it the red lines dissapear. Heres zoomed in What do you think? I noticed alot of my dubstep and rap songs are clipped to hell off the album but just the highs. The bass usually looks fine when zoomed in . I use the LPF to see just the bass easier. I'm lost on what songs to keep or trash... Also I will be striving to keep my equipment clip free so hopefully there will be no issues on that end. (DD-1) I mean whats the point of setting your gains properly if you can't have it maxed to where you set it clip free?
-
Thanks. So if i dont see no straight lines shooting up then the song should be ok to play?
-
Ok, Thanks. So is cliiping in the highs as harmful as the lows? When I watch the scope in WMP damn that sucker moves fast lol. I'll have to get that Gucci song and play it on the scope to get a feel for it . I heard that one before you can actually hear the shitty bass in that song

I was just curious if you guys actually check and filter every one of your songs for clipping? with audacity etc. I checked a few of my songs and noticed that some are fine and others are clipping a fair bit but only on the highs well over 80 hz. Im sort of new to this music/audacity thing. I just want to make sure im not going to harm my equipment with "bad" music. Is there an expected amount in a normal song? or is there a way to fix this or get songs without any? Thanks Example: my Rack city has no clipping of the bass line but a significant amount in the higher frequencies. its not boosted or slowed.

^^^ Good point. but even so it may be better to get something affordable for now so if he gets better stuff down the road theres less chance of it getting messed up. Everyone's got to start somewhere

To be honest, you arent going to get much for 200. Unless you can finda crazy deal.

18 volt daily driving diagram
Amart88 replied to dB Don's topic in XS Power Batteries / Chargers! (and other stuff too)
Thats an awsome diagram!. Only concern would be what if (god forbid) a stepdown malfunctioned? would all you electronics be toast or would the current just stop somthing like a blown fuse.? Just a thought -
This is probably a dumb question but it's been bugging me for a while. I seen that you are not supposed to charge the 12 volt XS Batts at more than 14.4 Volts. I also see alot of peoples systems with a voltage in the low 15's range. Does that harm the Batteries or only when using a charger over 14.4?.

Probably a dumb question, but...

You could have somone rebuild it to get more amps or even put a smaller pulley on it. But for the hassle I would just look into getting a higher output alt. -
Which battery to buy?
Amart88 replied to andygardner's topic in XS Power Batteries / Chargers! (and other stuff too)
12 volt XS power D series. Get the biggest one that will fit under your hood, measure your space. -

I have 25 feet of that Cadence 0 ga. its really flexable and is a good size but I heard its CCA not OFC even though it says OFC, I like the Knu OFC. Quality welding cable would be good too. as long as its ofc
