all personal preferance ive ran both aeros and slot ports.. i do prefer slot ports tho.. bc port acts as a brace etc.. and i hate taking time waiting on aeroports to get here.. general rule for aeros is 6 to 11" 12" per cubic foot and slot ports general port area should be in the 12" to 16" per cubic foot i like running more port than most people do ( i like 14 to 16" per)...im actually going to run 3 15s instead of 4 so i can get my desired 15" per cube..

sub up port back is a MUCH better configuration and sub and port back

i just did 4 layers of quick roof on my plate drilled holes thru the panel and actually used nut and bolts..and siliconed them up.. my plate makes no noise at all

5k application is going to draw 400 450 amps plus.. how can a single 270 amp or so alt make up for that?? it cannot seriously play it safe dual alts and a few 100ah batteries.. with a single alt you will still see massive voltage drop

My amp doesn't come fused, so now what? then look at what the spec sheet says it draws.. simple as that.. derrrrrr my sub amp aint fused either..doesnt mean it dont need a fuse

well i fuse for what my amps draw and my alternator output.. if u guys think thats fine sure go for it.. but ive seen many people around here.. literally melt the amp before the fuse went..and if they would have went with a proper size fuse it wouldnt have happened.. so its like this.. if you guys got say 0g wire..and only using a amp that draws 80amps.. ur still going to put that 250 amp fuse in? like i said that amp will NEVER trip that fuse unless a complete dead short happens.. (theres a reason why manufacturs include a fuse suited for that amp) they sure dont give you a 300 amp fuse with a amp that draws 80

niiiceee.. great to see somebody playing low frequency.... my steering wheel flexed like that too..with a single 15.. until i found out the bolts holding the steering colum was loose..tightend them up..and no more flex.. damnit... anyways.. what kind of equipment u using???

got the big 3 done or anything? pretty serious voltage drop there..prolly if you get a good agm charger it would help also.. topped off batteries are the best battery

noticed only 1 vote for no fusing.. thats the dumbass on here.. i always fuse everything( pos lead to battery off alt is fused then the leads going to back is fused.. then a fuse in front of the amp.. what bugs me is dudes who have a 120amp alt and use 250 300 amp fuses..WHY so itll melt everything before the fuse pops

Good to hear, I always enjoy opinions on products I want to buy, I have yet to read a bad one for a Megatron Plus Battery. my work car ( 94 civic) came with a interstate megatron battery..3yrs ago and it still rests at 12.55 for days n days.. i do keep it on a trickle charger when it sits for awhile..but interstate would be the only wetcell battery id own.. DIEHARD batteries are great also.. the cheap duralast batts at autozone r total crap..ive had many die on me without even having a system in the car..they are just cheap cheap

couple questions.. 1..why did you use such a big fuse?looks like you have a stock alt and your amp doesnt draw 250a..so itll never blow if you have a issue.. 2.. nice box design looks pretty cool 3.. need more power!!

just the ca glue smell etc.. yes heat does wonders.. i love the idiots that hammer on thier subs after sitting in the sun all day..and wonder why they smell it real bad or totally kill it from the heat

sometimes the best designs are the simpliest for real.. i got basically the same layout in my own ride

you guys do know that a fi q comes STOCK with 5 spiders..getting that extra spider isnt needed.. and yes a q comes stock with 5 spiders ( i have blown q softparts sitting here) and really any amp that is rated for 1500w or so.. ( i had mine on 1000w rms) and it didnt need anymore power because my box was a shave too big
