"
When I was competing, I set the first World record ever set by anyone using L7 12", and I tested the box by setting it on my driveway and plugging it into the AC wall outlet.
2 @ L7 12", D4s, Ported @ 56hz, series/paralleled coils into a 120v outlet and THEY LOVED IT!
Since I was sponsored I had all the back-up L7s I needed, plus I could swap out for a set of new ones from a local dealer if I needed to.
I gave them the real-deal test, kept it playing for almost a full minute directly plugged into the 120v AC outlet until my neighbor, Peter, walked over from across the street and begged me to allow him to finish his nap.
He said he was laying on the floor napping when it started to vibrate, and he knew it had to be me testing something.
The following weekend I went to the 2x in Highlands, Ca, competed with that 'well-broken-in' set of L7 12" and had the best score ever @ 153.7 with a single battery & 1KW amp.
I helped 3 different competitors who decided to switch from RF to Kicker. They preferred the Kicker SQ, saw HIGHER dB numbers, and did so without frying their L7s.
Designed properly, there is almost nothing out there that sounds as good or hits as hard as a set of ported D2 L7 10", coils in series, each with a bridged ZX450.2 powering it, and don't forget large enough power cable to handle the current draw.
Happy Hammering"
Where the fuck do these people come from....
