Weirdest thing happened today, I was driving a clients car and I got pulled over. I felt like a criminal officers came up put your hands out the window, had to step out of the car, they illegally searched the car and patted me down. Eventually I asked them what it was about and they let me go, I have been pulled over a few times and that has never happened I really felt like an ex con.

Might have been looking for a vehicle matching yours. Profiling right there. Justified? Depends what the person they are looking for is wanted for.

I figured that much one officer was very polite or cordial the other was a straight dick ready to pull his gun. To me I think it could've been handled without making me feel like a complete fool and the fact that it happened in front of a lot of people was just as embarrassing.

What's funny is I see it on every other forum I'm on and on FB and I just laugh like Gee of all the years I have been subscribed to Steve's channel, FB and forum I have never seen him be a dick to anyone who didn't ask for it. How many times can you bite your lip or turn the other cheek before you start firing back and breaking feet off in asses? Hell I don't know you and you seem like a cool ass guy to me the sheer fact you give away free shit just for the hell of it says enough. The fact that you came out of your pocket randomly out of the blue to giveaway a pair of headphones (that I won ) just because you wanted to was cool as fuck to me. It may have been small to you but that shit means something to me because I would be damned if I let anyone say you're not a cool ass dude. What can you do when you're in the spotlight and everybody wants the attention you have? Don't even sweat that shit.

I have Thursday & Friday off, first real phone off, laptop off vacation since I have been employed. Funny thing is I'm taking time off to work on my damn car lol.

What's even sadder is I need to figure out what woofers I'm running so I can build the box while I'm off. I may have a client build to do in a 2012 Grand Cherokee so I'm not sure if I will even get a chance to work on the Civic. MARK MY WORDS I will atleast finish the amp racks and start on the doors.

Quit fucking around and build one for both! Make some money, then make an amp rack! Would love to take some time off for my car, but that ability is long gone now! They're crackin the whip around here! Time for a new job!

Yeah I have so much time racked up I needed to take 2 days now and another 7 before the end of the year or I lose them because I am at my max rollover. I have never worked on a Jeep and new cars are always interesting to do because there is no much knowledge out there on them so it's like playing with fire.

You would need more than a week to really get the hang of 8. Thats why i wouldnt recommend it. I dont like the learning curve on it. Plus not many games/drivers are fully supporting it yet, although they soon will, of course. But i'd rather choose the tried and true option. It's not much of a learning curve if you actually give it an honest chance but most go in like oh I hate it, it's not 7 this is to new and toss it aside. Once I sat down and really played with it I love it. On my machine and monitor setup at home I can just scroll my mouse to the side and see all of my installed software, games and apps. I get live updates on everything I want and the best part is the start time. Even on my little netbook (i3 4gb ram 250gb hdd) 8 starts way quicker than 7 did. I can't wait to actually try it out on a tablet PC but right now on my regular desktop and my netbook it gets 2 thumbs up. The bugs will be worked out eventually so no issues there. The app store is a great addition and without even installing Office 13 yet I am able to access all of my email accounts from the mail app. No crashes, no freezing and no lag so I already know 7 can't hold a candle to 8.

what should i get, windows XP? new rig, new everything, new operating system. Plus i am hearing tons of great stuff about 8. i am a 7 guy but i can't go bass-ackwards on a PC build, ever. Go with windows 7. XP is older and 8 is shit. Windows 7 is great for gaming. Windows 8 is shit? Why? I would love your expert opinion on why it's shit.

Build will finally commence tomorrow, brainstorming ways to make this flow as easy as possible, it's been awhile since I have had anything in the Civic. Probably won't be completed til Wednesday.

I can respect you wanting to lock the thread, I could see it getting out of hand overnight but I did mention that I had no hate towards the installer or the customer who wanted. I just felt like a little more thought should have been put into the concept considering it had already been done on a very similar car. Even if the thread was restarted to make a general census on stuff overdone eventually examples would be posted so no need to bring it back let sleeping dogs lie. I know we as enthusiasts get a bad rap already and I just feel like certain installs and mind states just makes it 10 times worse to enjoy the hobby.

I grew up on Bruce Lee my dad couldn't get enough but if you're a fan check out Ip Man he is Bruce Lee's Master and is one bad ass Kung Fu Master might I add. Seriously the real life Ip Man trained Bruce Lee forreal.

Actually I have been able to do everything with no issues and I usually manage to spot problems right off the bat. So far 8 is smooth and seamless considering I am running it from a netbook and I have installed almost all my old software (most of which is only Windows 7 compatible and it all runs)

My dad does it for a living so I've been around it all my life then I joined here and my knowledge has expanded 10 fold. I've learned (and I'm still learning) a lot from lurking the forums many topics and keeping up with the vets on here.
