It took me and my friends 5 hours to find a way to run my power wire through my car from my battery, but I've never gave up.

I heard it's good when you have a bunch of bass amps, like for competition.

A Bandpass box (assuming 4th order) has linearity issues, and takes a lot of space. A properly designed ported box will make them shine, and you don't need to separate them, you can have them in one box, and have no issues. Though one question, in case you didn't buy them, why 2 JL 500/1 instead of 1 JL 1000/1? It would be cheaper, you'd have less wiring, and not worry about equal power distribution.

Well if you're gonna do an infinite battle setup, I'd recommend the subs facing foward with the baffle completely sealed from the trunk to make it work properly. Could be a good experiment to try out.

Not if you set your gains properly, and I've heard Type R's can take 1k each, but I'd recommend a 1500 on both of them just to be safe.

just curious, if you weren't afraid to wire it down to 1 ohm how would you do it ? LOL good question I'll try it out one day, and see how it handles it, I just like to follow posted amp limits just to be safe.

To the OP, sounds like you're looking to do an SQL system where you want a lot of bass but want to achieve good sound quality as well. For the SQ aspect of it, you should probably go towards the SQ section of the forum for some tips, and you should also talk to Cablguy too, since he's all for SQ, and he does it very well. I hope you achieve what you're looking for.

Did you upgrade your alternator as well or you using stock?
