Four kicker l7 15"s or two sp4 18"s
Dangrebel replied to Mikewood21's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
I hate to say it but the 4 L7's have more cone area and should be louder than 2 sp4's -
If the amp is clipping it will show more on the lows hence the heating up. Lower notes have more average power I believe.

Choosing Alternator
Dangrebel replied to stilltippin863's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Mechman and dc power have incredible products and customer service. Can't go wrong with those. -
Draw back: almost backing into too random people at Walmart that walk slow and are directly behind me. Gain: nasty lows and head pounding bass

Sweet!!!! I'll see if I can get the money real quick. I'll pm you in a day or so.

Coil positioning in the motor when assembling cone etc
Dangrebel replied to Airborne's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
I would just do the average size enclosure of a 12 and see what happens -
My bc2000d is lonely and needs a partner to power these hdc3's properly. Let me know what you have. Thanks

Put it dead center of the top plate.measure the coil, and determine middle of it and that should be where it should rest at. -
dc to ac home speakers in car???
Dangrebel replied to stinky feet's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
If I'm not mistaken, plate amps and such convert the ac current to dc then use that like a normal amp. There would be a lot of electrical losses since all of the conversions. I would say just get a high end amp and run high end comps. Just my .02 cents -
D1200 corrosion?
Dangrebel replied to speedball1978's topic in XS Power Batteries / Chargers! (and other stuff too)
Itll be fine. Just knock it off with a wire brush the put dielectrical grease on it and call it a day. -
Yea it should!!!!! As long as its from an impact and not stress.
-
Yea that'll be fine

Can u have a too big of alternator?
Dangrebel replied to Cody7751's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
He has amps. He said the voltage drops below 12 volts so he can't turn it up all the way. The OP is asking if when his amps are shut off and the car is running will the 200 amps hurt his battery since there is no load. the 200 amp alt will help solve this problem.
