this is like saying im going to run my amps at .5 ohms because everyone does it and they havent blown an amp.. one reason people set things and wire things is because they have knowledge on what they are doing.. its best you sit read and learn before you do anything

Steve knows what his doing.. Steve doing it and not blowing things dont mean you wont either.. i dont think he uses bass boosted songs either.. you can tune it with -10 but you need to know your system and its limits or you will be blowing things up

if the dd-1 detected signal and the 1khz then your good to go

before you do, did the DD-1 detect signal? like 1khz 40khz

no reason to run extra wire if you wont be having an HO alt.. just buy extra batteries for the rear and 1 maybe 2 runs of wire would be enough.. the wire doesnt make power it just transfers it and you really have nothing to transfer from the front to the rear.. only reason i see you having more than 1 run is if you have a battery bank in the front and you need to get all that power to the rear a good battery charger is going to be your friend and you will need nightly charging.. the only thing that sucks is once your batteries are low they are low and you cant bump till the stock alt recharges them back up, or you put them on the charger so still out of luck.. sort of like a lowerider once the juice is gone its gone

That is what I was afraid of. The amp is a little big for a lvl 3. A level 2 ehh..... I know I can turn the gain down, but It is a zx1500.1. I hate to have that much over rated power available. good of a reason to get the second one

yours jumps a lot more than mine.. i only see .2 or .3 the most

i get the same thing.. i set mine at 14.4 hot and when the electric fans kick in it jumps to 14.6 volts to 14.7.. i got the dmm direct to the battery and it also jumps .2-.3 of a volt.

is your law for every part or just high performance parts? i doudnt you cant use a different alternator.. if it was like that then they wouldn't allow the sub box ad sub since they are not stock items.. and even then they will not tell the difference from stock alt to high output if its in the same case.. you can buy the parts and build it yourself
