  1. I'd rather run it at 4, 1ohm will prolly put it in protect or heat it up and drop output for short intervals. Doesn't take much to make those Kenwood's unhappy.
  2. No problem...because nobody buys a zx2 except you.....and me lol
  3. ithout even clicking the link, i remember somebody posting about another sundown amp on there in the past, and the verisign logo at the bottom couldn't be clicked and was just a picture, and thats how you can tell it's more than likely a scam.
  4. x2 on the above posts, i'd cross your lpf at 80-100, and set your infrasonic ~5hz below tuning. Setting it properly will make it so you dont have to worry about turning it down on lower note songs so much.
  5. Multimeter the positive lead unhooked from the battery and the ground resistance.
  6. Or if it would be cheaper, try and sell the AQ, cut your losses and buy a D2
  7. I guess i'm too used to just not worrying about end connections and putting in the fuse last.
  8. Moves alot of air, but slightly facepalmed when I saw the voltmeter, h/u erm....holder? and ipad dash made out of bare wood
  9. There should be mostly likely a 10A fuse on the back on the H/Uitself.
  10. Also, I'd whip out the multimeter and see if you're getting power to constant and acc if the fuses are a no-go. You'd more than likely see a popped one in the relay though.
  11. When you unhook your car battery with an Alpine, on mine at least, you have to hit power or standby for it to turn on. Hopefully it'll be the same for you.
  12. AQ's like around 36-38hz and still drop plenty low at a higher tuning.
  13. Mechman.com yo. If they don't have it listed on the site, call them up and I'm sure they'll get you set up and answer just about any question you have about it.
  14. I'm sure there's something out there you can buy, but I'm sure 99% of people just crimp and done, especially if you're lugs are tinned you should be fine. I'd heat shrink to protect the wire, and be done with it. Are you using CCA or OFC? I noticed you said on aluminum.
  15. It's too early in the morning to be trying to think out the logic.
  16. Must not have fixed it from the 9104's after all. Mine did the same thing, except it would get quieter for about 15-20 seconds then go back to the same volume. Overheating mehbeh? Possibly just a little happy on the gain, but it might just be a fault of the Kenwoods.
  17. Alright, so I gave both FedEx and XS a call a few days back, it's being "returned to shipper". I'm assuming it'll take a few more days to get to TN, but as far as the claim goes, it's filed and couldn;t get much more info from FedEx. Does XS normally take care of the rest of the claim and send a replacement after it's filed? Sorry if I come off as impatient, but i'm just waiting on another D3100 to put everything in, haha.
  18. Yep, pretty sure N8 has a bank of them in his truck.
  19. Yep, as soon as I saw it I felt the need to. I actually have another thread in the Mechman section with pictures. Well, seems i'll be ringing XS about another 3100 in a week or so, then. Sucks because they're getting caught up filling orders, and might be out of stock until a bit later anyway, lol.
  20. Just wondering if anyone has had experience with FedEx damage claims and the time they usually take. LAST piece of equipment showed up (D3100) damaged and they just picked it up earlier today. Shouldn't be denied from improper packaging as it came new straight from XS. Just seeing if I should wait it out. If it takes longer than 2 weeks or so, I'm buying a new one, and waiting to get re-paid whenever my claim goes through...hopefully. Still pissed that everything else was fine, except the last piece.
