  1. If you know of any good OEM replacement brands, stated in the title of my thread... Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, etc. Your kit doesnt fit right, because you didnt install it correctly. Im not trying to be rude, its just the truth. I see nothing there that couldnt be fixed in less than 20 minutes (if you did it the cheap way) or 4-5 hours )If you did it the correct way) OR if you are sure that your install is kosher, look at a nicer quality install kit. I agree with this. Either it's not installed right or you bought a cheap kit. Even if it's a cheap kit it wouldn't take much to make it fit right and make it look like its supposed to be there.
  2. That's the way to do it and then sell the door to get your money back
  3. Easiest way I've found to do it is get stock power window parts from a junk yard and swap it all out.
  4. I don't like doing burnouts on my bike but I like peeing. Maybe someday I can find out who that is and pee on his grave. He'll be dead so why would it matter...
  5. If you're helping a friend out that price isn't bad. If I was selling it, not to a friend, I would probably ask $150 for it as long as its still in great condition.
  6. I had one of those and it honestly wasn't any better than the rebadged Jensen it replaced. If that's your budget I would look around for a used Pioneer, Kenwood, or Eclipse.
  7. Don't bag it put it on hydraulics. It will be easier, get you lower, ride nicer, and look way nicer.
  8. Power reference. Not a bad amp and definitely worth $100 as long as it works.
  9. This what I do on all of mine. Title bond 2 glue and dap caulk.
  10. It's actually cheaper than that now depending on the autograph. Typically they run anywhere from $15-$40 each.
  11. Have you tried Google? I was just looking for a place to authenticate some that I have (I know they are the real thing but I want to sell some of them and people want proof) and came across a few very reputable companies and they don't charge too much.
  12. People think they are easier, cleaner, have less problems, ride better, and are cheaper. Those that think that either have no experience with hydraulics or have only experienced a shitty or poorly installed setup.
  13. Nice. Are you gonna lay it out or just go as low as the bags take you without cutting a lot?
  14. Wish you would have been selling this 6 weeks ago when I ordered mine. GLWTS
  15. Try going ported. You should have more than enough room in there to do it with 4 12's. Also, When did you do the sound deadening? If you did it as you went along that could play into it. I have had some vehicles that lost #'s on the mic after adding more deadening but were louder to the ear without all the vibrating panels, etc.
  16. They got pretty low for being in a sealed box but never tried them ported because I didn't have room in the truck they were in (or my Eclipse the few weeks they were in there). I pulled them out of my Eclipse because someone was gonna buy them then never showed up. I might have to try doing something ported with them someday but for now I like my DC Lvl 4 12 that's in their place because I have some trunk space back.
