  1. Is it possible that on this vehicle there is some we-todd-ed voltage regulator that keeps it at 12.5? I mean, look at the car for crying out loud!
  2. lol, i have 50 sheets of osb for re-roofing my house taking up space in my garage! Damn me!
  3. never a solid excuse just says stuff came up blah blah blah.. i tried calling him 10mins ago and he sends me right to voicemail.. the way i see it ive been professional as i can be.. ive been waiting for almost 9 days now.. even called off work and missed out on 10hrs of pay.. then he continues to ignore me Hmmm, do you make $5.00 an hour? i mean 10 hours of pay just to get $50 profit on a box.. sounds fishy. no i make 12bux a hour..my boss is super cool and generally lets me call off if i got a decent excuse (been friends for 20yrs now) and like i said earlier i cut him A ONE TIME DEAL.. in hopes of maybe getting more work in etc..and ontop of that i DID NOT call off to make the box..it was done on a saturday and i called off work a few days after the box was done and sitting..i called off bc he said he WAS going to pick it up Maybe at this point you are in deep enough you just need to deliver and cut your loss. That or resell and give him a refund minus a small /wink storage fee. good luck man.

  5. Alright, I can't help it. I have to reply to this. Ok, i respect your opinion, but seriously? 56 is "wayyyyyyyyyyyy high bass" and you have "never played em before" ? What is your crossover point? 35hz with a 36db slope? Sorry I mean, yea 56hz is starting to get up in the "bass" range but its not "way high".
  6. Use the search, Tunez sub forum, Topic "what freq. is this song" BTW its; 55, and 42hz. Short drop to 30hz.
  7. You will need to hook up the dd1 to your speaker outs on your headunit first to find out where they clip. then hook up your line converter and use your maxed unclipped volume to adjust your line out converter to max unclipped again. I assume your converter has adjustable sensitivity. then hook your converter up to your sub amp and adjust its gain.
  8. Could just throw a sheet of 1/4 ply on the metal and glue it down good. Might work.
  9. I remember the Gates bronco did 170+ at least thats what the article said. here is an article that mentions it, look at '1998" http://www.baudline.com/erik/bass/facts_about_bass.html it was a "W" shaped wall, here is the best pic i could find
  10. Team gates built an enclosure for 64 10's out of aluminum plate. Spl monster, don't know how good it sounded
  11. I've bought some of his musc, he has some decent dubstep. He is doing a live stream right now with FL studio. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=156t2qbPW1k&feature=g-all-lsb
  12. I owned a 86 and a 95 crown vic. The are full of sound deadener. Plus the opening between the trunk and back seat was terrible. Maybe you should consider a B pillar wall.
  13. Unlimited funds? ok, Buy a ocean liner. Gut it. Get a few nuclear reactor from submarines. Fill it with 18's , 12's, 8's, 6.5's tweeters, dsp's blah blah blah. Blow up the world again.
  14. I have the ep2x which has the Balanced inputs, but it has a proprietary type input like a ps2 cable. Does this have that type of output on it or is in rca out only?
  15. Don't beat around the bush man, tell us how you really feel. lol j.k.
  16. Wish i could help. I went to my local HW store, Edlemens, and they ordered it for me. $45 a sheet. But he went out of his way to get it for me and otherwise it would have been a 60 mile drive to lowes or home depot or manards.
  17. I didn't see a reason to report it so i didn't. We know the rules here and i figured it was better to inform the guy about what the rules were and where to find them. guess we'll see if he notices.
  18. Hey bbron, you might want to read the rules about selling. and edit this post while you are at it. no selling under 150 posts. Welcome to the forums.
  19. Rare one. But I'll post it anyway.
  20. I was going to say that i sat in the fosgate astro van in the 90's. three or four components in each door and four 15's or 18's can't remember the exact details. but it was LOUD. and it did not hurt my ears. Just sounded super clean and clear. the hi-hat's had so much definition that i could really tell it was a heavy chunk of metal. It's hard to explain something like that but trust me. Maybe you just have standing wave's or something making it sound harsh.
  21. I set my gains on my clarion cz201 with the sub level at 0. if i set it at max, 6 or something like that, it makes the bass sound muddy.
  22. I think maybe a high limit switch or something might be cool, go over input voltage and it pulls down the input sensitivity. But like DJ said, could you trust it?
  23. you mean it would be loud 100% of the time? i see no problem here.
  24. Well, i Haven't had a chance to clamp yet but i tested something on the way home tonight. As you can see in my build log my amp have pretty much no ventilation right now. I was playing some bass heavy songs on the way home tonight right up near full tilt. My drive home is a 30 minute drive. After about 25 minutes i pulled over and felt my amps, a 9105d and a 8405 neither amp was overly hot. i could put my hand on them and and yes they were hot but not hot enough that it was even uncomfortable to have my hand on them. Thats running full tilt and being suffocated for 25 minutes. So if you can find a better stress test than that let me know. The only complaint i have is the 9105d likes to dip in volume on intermittently after 20 minutes of being hammered on but i am assuming that is because i am probably clipping some. It's hard to tell for sure since i set my gains at volume 40 with my pac at 1/2 and used the -5db track. When i was coming home i had the knob at 3/4 to 7/8 and the volume at 35. My voltage would dip to around 13.5 and when i got close to home it was starting to dip to 12.9, so that may be part of it. Hope this helps.
