  1. Had this last night: $25 got me a liter of Warsteiner Oktoberfest and the glass to take home. If you guys have a place called The Flying Saucer near you definitely check it out. They have like 200+ kinds of beer and constantly rotate the 50+ that are on tap. Every Wednesday they feature a different draft beer with the company's glass that you can buy and take home. Was good stuff. I've also been shitting all day long.
  2. Midrange, no. Midbass, probably, depending on crossover point. I haven't seen an FR graph so I'm interested to see if Jacob has one.
  3. Profile AP2000. Powering a pair of Earthquake subs.
  4. I have it, it's great for an RTA. Accurate. I use it with the Studio Six Digital AudioTools app. It's not a TermLab substitute, not gonna measure bass like that.
  5. Yeah, what about adding a couple alts instead of more reserve. Possible?
  6. Yeah, makes sense then. PM TaylorFade and ask him about these amps being higher voltage. Or ask him to reply to this thread so others can see too. I hope I'm not totally wrong on this one lol.
  7. Yeah you're right, doesn't make sense if he has no signal to it. I'm not familiar with those amps, but I do remember TFade talking about that when he did his tests. OP, have you taken a DMM to it?
  8. Would a little more airspace for the wall be beneficial? Might be able to get away with less power if you made it more efficient, which would mean less batteries. Reason I ask is because maybe it would just be better to have all the batteries in the bed (or under the bed, or whatever). Make an enclosure for em, seal it up, won't have to worry about a full cover for the bed, and you don't have to worry about getting a crapload of smaller batteries just to fit them. Even with the same amount of power and batteries, to me it's a better idea. Won't have to cram those batteries under the wall, plus if something happens to one how do you get to them under the wall? I don't know man, just throwing out ideas.
  9. Pretty sure I remember seeing somewhere that the Brazilians, or at least the Taramps, are much higher voltage amps. TaylorFade knows all about it. Not sure how to mention people on this forum though.
  10. Or what about keeping what you have, then adding however many smaller, or even large, batteries you can in a bed toolbox? Yeah, it will be a little more wire, but cheaper in the end I think.
  11. I second the cap idea. What about keeping what you have, and just adding caps? You've got a lot of free space, and caps are much easier to tetris into those spots than batteries. Plus, well, they're better anyway if you have the charging current there. Edit: You beat me to it. Nevermind.
  12. Just came across this, thought it was worth a share: http://patriotupdate.com/videos/ferguson-want-justice-gin-juice-hair-extensions-rims-democrats/#hXFj0644jV9pfRKg.01
  13. Pretty damn excited for Heat Wave. I won't have my SHD, so I'm riding the bike up, but I will be taking a shitload of photos. Any good ones I take will be available for purchase, I'll be handing out business cards. If anyone wants to meet up during the show or on 6th Street Saturday night let me know

Everything except the front seal off and possibly the beauty panel on the amps will be 100% perfect. The beauty panel might be straight birch. And sell the front seal off kinda looks like a bombing site with all the craters and messed up carpet.

  14. Just supports my previous post. But could you move the batteries to either side of the box and then mount the amp behind the box then?
  15. Typical deadener will do nothing on a box. You wanna deaden it? Build it right. Brace it well. I'm undecided about rubber washers. The amp has to be tightened down very tight, and is therefore coupled to the box via the screw or bolt you mount it with, which basically negates benefits of rubber washers. And if it's loose enough for the rubber washers to do anything, then it's bouncing around so much that it's actually much worse. I know it sounds great, but I guess I'm just skeptical they're the saving grace everyone makes them out to be.
  16. Thanks again meade916. Appreciate it! Edit: how the eff do I mention someone on this forum??? I can't figure it out
  17. So what exactly are you looking for? It sounds good man, let's see it built!
  18. Yeah older, upper end MTX is pretty good. Can find them cheap now too. I used to have a MTX RFL (Real Fucking Loud, lol) 2k and it was a solid amp with the same heatsink design. Just wondering, how old is the amp? But awesome, appreciate the merch @meade916! I'll be shooting out the email shortly. Love the amp tests. Do you ever do 2 or 4 ohm tests on the larger amps? Would love to see those.
