Your first amplifier - what was it?

on a pair of 10's. gain maxed out, extension cord wires... yeah it was epic.

No way!!!

I bought my dad that amp and a 10 gauge wiring kit for £10 on ebay to power a flat 12" sub

Then I almost blew it up running a dual 4 ohm VC wired down to 2 ohm in bridged mode. It would get very very hot and switch off after a while

Mine was a Pyramid pba-1000 on 2 crunch 15" subs in the back seat of the worst built car EVER, a Renault Alliance Convertible. Amp didn't like the summer heat though.LOL. This would have been in the late 80's I guess technically it was a Jensen 5 band Eq/power booster under the dash for some 6x9's!
