SPLadd1ct Posted March 7, 2011 Author Report Posted March 7, 2011 Did you highlight many parts? Sometimes there are parts in the songs that the bass is fading out of. Highlight a few different spots. Also only highlight one second of the song. Gets you a more accurate reading. I use to highlight Decaf's stuff over a 20 second window seeing 17, 18, or 19 dB. Then I read to highlight one second and noticed the songs were at 22-25 dB. After further examination I managed to squeeze out a 40 hertz peak at 12 dB. If there was a 20-25dB intensity hiding in there it would noticeably stick out from the rest of the 40 hertz notes that have intensities of 12dB. 2011 Ford Ranger Sport 4.0 v6 2 sundown audio prototype nsv4 15s crossfire 4k wired to 0.4 ohm 15 banks of maxwell 3.0 caps @ 18v triple alts (x2 us alt 250's, x1 singer 320) 153 at 23hz

This what you do when you don't have a system, or well, that's what I do Trust me, if I had my system in I would be more than happy to go out and try in my car rather than sit here in a room on a computer 2011 Ford Ranger Sport 4.0 v6 2 sundown audio prototype nsv4 15s crossfire 4k wired to 0.4 ohm 15 banks of maxwell 3.0 caps @ 18v triple alts (x2 us alt 250's, x1 singer 320) 153 at 23hz

And if u haven't played on a system how can u say it doesn't bang .IMO I have plenty of songs that peak at 40-43 hertz and get very loud, they also had intensities in the 20dB range. Before I used Audacity, I had some songs on my USB that wern't too loud in the bass department. Well I found out about audacity and I checked them out, it turned out they had intensities that peaked much lower, in the 13-15 dB range compared to the loud bass songs that peaked in the 19-21 dB range. What I am trying to get at here is finding out if my rationale with using Audacity that loudness directly correlates to the intensity of a certain frequency. 2011 Ford Ranger Sport 4.0 v6 2 sundown audio prototype nsv4 15s crossfire 4k wired to 0.4 ohm 15 banks of maxwell 3.0 caps @ 18v triple alts (x2 us alt 250's, x1 singer 320) 153 at 23hz
