BassJunkie
Looks sick! Just curious, how does it handle highway speeds? 1986 C20 Suburban 9 American Bass XFL 15's B2 M1MKII 14v XS Power Batteries Maxwell Caps Acoustical energy is free. JasonsKreationz
It actually handles really good. I think that is because the truck has low miles so everything is still tight, it has independent front suspension, it has a fresh alignment and with the 22" wheels, the 37" tires have less sidewall than most 37" tires with smaller wheels so there's a lot less sidewall flex. I don't get hardly any body roll and definitely no speed wobble or anything like that. I can cruise down the highway at 70mph and let go of the wheel and it tracks great. 05 Ram 1500 4x4 Hemi - 22x11 Fuel Hostage wrapped in 37" Nitto Mud Grappler - 3" Dual Flow Master w/ X pipe - 10" lift - Alpine 103BT Head unit - JL Audio J2-320.4 - JL Audio J2-1000.1 - (2) 12" JL Audio W3V3 - (2) sets of JL Audio components - 5% tint - 6000K HID - CAI - and more.... I've always wanted a lifted truck, but after driving my brothers 87 dodge with 37's on it I was kinda scared of them, you're right with the side wall because they were wobbbbly 1986 C20 Suburban 9 American Bass XFL 15's B2 M1MKII 14v XS Power Batteries Maxwell Caps Acoustical energy is free. MrSkippyJ
Love the truck and rims! I don't understand what the x pipe is for though, help me out? Ah nice, thank you! It balances out the cylinder banks and helps with flow (less restrictive than forcing the exhaust out of each individual mufflers.) It also makes it sound a little better. JasonsKreationz
Thanks guys, I've got about 90% of my stereo equipment and I picked up a gallon of fiberglass tonight so I'll be starting my install soon! I have lots of fiberglass plans for it and I'm excited to get going! I'll be sure to post lots of pictures and create a build thread. This is what happened the last time I worked with fiberglass on my last build. and here's my old truck that I built it for.... 05 Ram 1500 4x4 Hemi - 22x11 Fuel Hostage wrapped in 37" Nitto Mud Grappler - 3" Dual Flow Master w/ X pipe - 10" lift - Alpine 103BT Head unit - JL Audio J2-320.4 - JL Audio J2-1000.1 - (2) 12" JL Audio W3V3 - (2) sets of JL Audio components - 5% tint - 6000K HID - CAI - and more....
