REMT15
normally 10-12 sq inches per cube. that box is a bit small. 6 cubes before sub and port would be more like it with about 70 to 80 sq inch es of port (12 by 6) Edited April 26, 2011 by REMT15

Supercharged DCs
10-12 is incredibly too small. I would do 16 per cube, so 64in^2 overall. Quote Bassless once again. -Hobby-
Anywhere from 12-16 per net cube should be fine. 1 cube per sub should be fine also. Wouldnt go any smaller though. Does Rockford spec a recommended size for the sub? I would try and stick as close to that area as possible. My 10's are in 1 cube per sub net and do just fine. TheyDontWantMusic
i tend to simply ignore people who think you need a certain port area for the size of the box. you need port area based on what woofers are in the box, and how much displacement they have! you could probably get away with a single 6inch round flared port and not be able to hear any port noise from inside the car, but 3 4inch round ports would be better. of course, I don't actually expect anyone from this forum to agree Edited April 27, 2011 by TheyDontWantMusic

Port area is determined from the total amount of air the woofer(s) can potentially displace.

It also depends on the enclosure's tuning, right? Wow...really? ChevyBoy95
But the general rule of thumb is 12-16, some say 14-16 or live by some number in there. You will be perfectly fine with 12-16.
