P4killer_ Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 So, My Clarion DPX11500 Blew up and started sending DC through the outputs, and took out my XFL it seems so I had my eyes pealed for another sub for awhile. I had some bday cash to spend. I found a DD3512 on caco its been reconed about 45 days before I bought it. It came in today, and Idk but for some reason DD has just been something I WANTED, for instance for my bday ppl are like what you want and Im always like meh.... i could get this or this but idk... but DD I REALLY wanted. Idk i was almost giddy when I opened this up. Anyway I put my lil 2 channel on it, in the 1 12" bandpass that ive opened, sealed, reopened, sealed up again. anyway its not perfect anymore but i just siliconed the lid back on. My question is: idk if its the fact that im so enamoured with DD or if what Ive read has leaked into my thoughts, but it sounds just soooo clean just much smoother than other subs ive had or am i going crazy? Its not a 150+ that ive heard or anything, and I only listened to it for about 15 mins , i just cant wait to feed it some power. Its just a shame that I work so friggin much, idk how long itll be before i can build an enclosure for it. I have to say, I would probably take my old sub over the dd3515 though. I had a CV Stroker 12 in a compression horn( right term) that my buddy built and it sounded so clean on ANY song. Quote N8.
