Ok, my subwoofer box is peaking notes at 62 Hz, and that is way too high. The Box is chambered, and each chamber is 1.75 cubes. I need a way to tune it down a bit without making a new box for now. It is slot ported.

i got an idea.

Make a new box, too much trouble involved in downtuning a box already made.

This time, start off with a good plan to begin with.

Ive been trying to figure out a way to build this new one better with the same idea, but I don't know how I am gonna do it. Here is a picture of the inside now.

If I built a new box, could I add a vertical piece running next to the chamber wall to extend the port more?

If your looking to modify your current box, inverting the subwoofers will drop the tuning a tad. You can also build an extension around your port, like a rectangle frame around the port. Build it several inches thick, which should drop the tuning as well... Just some ideas :P

Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks :)

Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

supercharged dc's ideas would work. another thing you can do is put a piece of mdf inside the port to decrease the port area which would lower tuning as well

Inverting them isn't gonna work because these are behind the seats of my truck, and I realized I am gonna have to start from scratch because I already glassed the inside and its gonna be impossible to get the top of my box off haha.

I don't mean this in a mean way.. It's annoying to have to rebuild a box but:

Download winISD pro from here

The follow this guide to use it since it is alpha(before beta) software and still finnickey at times. You have to close out of it with the task manager

Honestly, I'd just build a new box instead of altering the current one. For one, it'll be a total pain in the ass to do so. And if you're trying to lower the tuning, you're either going to sacrifice box volume or port area...or both.
