He's totally passive/aggressive about it. He has the same complaints about my electrical system and anything that changes the interior in a 'hard' way. I trust any of his mechanical input though, as he's a great auto and diesel mechanic. I wouldn't know half of what I do without having soaked it in from him. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Now that I am a father and have a 19yr old son and I put a small setup in his car and then my Daughter just got her license so I am going to put a small system in her car. I put a system in my wife's car back in March of this year. It might not be a cheap hobby but its better than spending money on drugs and such. Later today I walk in while he was telling my mom it was a waste of money.. So my question is if anyone elses dad like this? Or do I just have a uptight one? Just explain to him that a successful installer/spl guru has to be an electrician, plumber, bodyman, welder, carpenter, painter, fibreglass expert, mechanic,.......etc need I go on? I am a father of three and the many years of installing and doing spl builds have made most trades trivial at best and if you do well at all aspects of a car audio installation expert you easily move into one of those other professions very well.
