Do you mean the pole vent?

Ninja'd... it probably wont be noticable by ear, maybe just a tad on the meter.

the pole vent is a way for the sub to cool the VC. i wouldnt plug it. might only gain you a couple tenths anyways. do more to the box instead.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

yes i ment pole vent. and alright looks as though i wont plug it. the way they do comps here for this class is music so i dont think plugging the vent would help me out at all it kinda seemed rather silly anyhow.

I actually just rebuilt a pair of woofers Sundown Z version 1 motors, on 18 inch baskets, used the nightshade v1 coils, nightshade v2 cone, spiders, and surrounds.

I was looking for them to take more power, and be all around more daily, and was told by Jacob to plug the vent, so I bought 2 machined vents to do just that.

However the only way to really plug your hole is by inserting the pole plug into the woofer thru the top (under the dustcap). Which you wont be able to do unless your really careful taking the dustcap off, or recone.

Fecupe did a test on this. It does give you like .3db but you dont wanna do it on a daily ride. Competitions only or your subs gonna overheat.

Look up his thread. Dont have the link now, but its around here somewhere.
