got some dc level 4 12's in a trunk ran off a powerbass 3k and those bastards are straight hittin, but it has been cold recently on the east coast and for some reason it has taken quite a while for them to movw well and get warm and I have a suspicion my amp doesnt like the cold, has anyone experienced this with subs?

Just run them so they warm up then let'em wang.

spl dust is an option you can get on the coils... it's great for extra 1000 watts of power

where can i get this spl dust and how much is it. is it hard to apply? lol

Yeah thats the shitty thing about living up here cause when winter rolls around the subs get turned down cause half the time i dont drive far enough to get them warm enough to bump loud

Theres actually alot more going on there. I ran my equipment yr round in central, NY. Try running the heater while car warms up. Air becomes dense when cold thus creating a feeling of not as loud. Frequency waves become heavier and harder to move.

interesting. cause im sure that people say they are louder in winter the in summer when competing.

or more noticeable when in car on music.
