What I don't get is all this shit talking. Floyd is undefeated for a reason and he has fought a lot of good fighters and beat them all. He is a damn good boxer he has been called one of the best ever (I am not his biggest fan). Every time I have gotten in a fight I go in with the intention to kill the other guy before he kills me. The ref signaled to start Ortiz is pro and he knows you always keep your hands up. Plus I don't care who the boxer is everyone throws elbows or headbutts everyone even pac-man. Ortiz got KO'd and from the sounds of it he would have lost the fight on points had it gone the full distance. Floyd is cocky and that is why most people do not like him but he backs it up (with the exception of the pac-man fight which imo he has avoided). While I don't like the way the fight ended it will make for a good re-match with Ortiz and this will give Floyd more time to avoid the real fight all fight fans want to see.

P.S. A sucker punch is when someone gets hit from behind or on the ground not when both fighters are facing each other. I have not seen it yet but if Ortiz went in for a hug as the ref gave the okay to fight and Floyd fed him some leather, there is nothing wrong with that at all. You don't hug in a fight. Maybe offer a glove to show respect but you don't offer your chin with your hands down.

Edit= okay so I just saw the Ko and totally obvious headbutt. Like I said they touched gloves and that should have been it cortez (ref) already gave the go when they were touching gloves and Ortiz went in for a hug. Then stepped back not even paying attention to the ref and had both hands down and still had his hands down for the second punch. Not the best win but nothing wrong with it. All this will do is hype up a re-match. Floyd makes the money he does cause he is hated and people will pay to see him loose.

after watching the replay, i say legit. Ref restarted the fight, what was he supposed to do?

I wish Mayweather would have let the fight go longer, but if you listen to the comments after the fight his move was legal. Anyway i would respect Ortiz if he didnt try to act like he "accidently" head butted May and just came clean that he let him get in his head. Just my 2 cent..

Yeah for sure that was no accident you can tell that it wasn't butt from stepping in or something like that. I am looking forward to see the re-play of the fight next week. Unless someone has a link to the fight other then a video taken from a phone.

*Checks Mayweathers record* Yep, looks like a win The ref did call time to deduct the point, but he also called time in after the deduction, but instead of Ortiz protecting himself he decided he wanted to give Floyd another, yes ANOTHER hug, kiss and apology and left himself unprotected and he got what he deserved. But lets not kid ourselves, he lost this fight way before he entered the ring!

He lost this fight when he let Floyd snatch him up like pictured above at the weigh in. He didn't do shit! Didn't slap Floyd's hand away, didn't push him, didn't swing on him, nothing! Right when I seen that I knew Ortiz was already defeated. Anybody who watched this fight seen clearly that Floyd was on a much higher level than this kid Ortiz. The kid has heart but when the skills don't match the heart (or the talk, for that matter) then you get what he got, his ass whooped for 3 rounds! Did you see that guys face? He was damaged after 3 rounds, the whole right side of his face was swollen up. It wasn't a matter of if Floyd would win, it was when and how. So when the kid made his final approach and instead of with his hands up, chin down, instead choosing arms out, lips puckered, he paid the price.

Ortiz headbutted him time out -1 point for him he went in and they hugged ref was in la la land floyd hit him with left and a right combo out.

They hugged it out already, right before the ref had the point deducted, so why Ortiz would come in for a hug and kiss again after the ref called time in is beyond me. That was 100% the fault of Ortiz....maybe he's a lover, not a fighter

Final punch stats, Mayweather landed 73-of-208 punches overall (35 percent), to 26-of-148 (18 percent) for Ortiz. So for every punch that the kid landed, Mayweather peppered him with 3 of his own. The writing was on the wall

Ortiz was losing up to it but it'a his first big fight so he might have done better as it went on regardless Mayweather pulled a bitch move and I would love to see Ortiz drop him.

Do you have any idea why Floyd and Manny didn't fight when it seemed like a done deal? Cause Manny did not want to agree to random Olympic style drug testing, a test which Floyd submits to himself. Seems to me Manny's got something to hide cause I know there's no way in hell I'd give up 30 million just cause I didn't like needles. Looks like Manny is the scared one, of Floyd and needles! Haha

wow I cant wait to see the replay of the fight..If it was a close fight I would think we will get a rematch and that the real fight that everyone wants to see (Mayweather, Pac-man) will not happen cause if Floyd had troubles with Ortiz he will not take that chance against a fighter like Manny. Nothing close about it, Floyd outclassed the kid plain and simple. Ortiz is nowhere near the level of Mayweather, he couldn't handle the speed, couldn't penetrate the defense, couldn't inflict any damage on Floyd besides his illegal headbutt which busted his lip. He seemed more focused on hugging and kissing Floyd than he did on knocking him out, he's a fruit!
