Skullz
I think it comes down to liability issues with it being on a manual trans cause if it starts and it is in gear and moves someone may get hurt or killed and i can understand why no one would do it. Katt
Its possible. You just have to make sure when you park your car, to leave it out of gear, Use parking brake, and get a clutch bypass. Wouldn't there be included a gear sensor to tell if it was in gear, telling it not to start? That would be another thing. Phive
All newer Vipers can be put in a manual trans car. Theres an "exit procedure" that must be followed, in order for the vehicle to be able to be remote started. Watts Shakin'
i had a 95 pathfinder that i put a linear actuator on the clutch pedal. put it on the starter kill wire and left the factory kill switch as is. hit remoter start and the clutch drops then starts. just use the e brake. Theres an "exit procedure" that must be followed, in order for the vehicle to be able to be remote started. I did that for mine, but put it in automatic mode, that way I dont ahve to do that stupid procedure, the car wont start if its in gear anyways, cause I have the nuetral saftey wire up, and I always park with the parking brake, works perfect Quote 2006 Mazda3 Hatchback Black 5 Spd ManualPioneer 4300DVD2 Sundown SA-12 (34hz Tune, 3.22 cubes, 14.5 inches per cube, Triple Baffle)Kicker 10ZX2500.1 (2845 RMS) Sub AmpKicker 11ZX650.4 (705 RMS) Mid Amp -- (3 Amps)Kicker KQ3 Active CrossoverKicker KQ30 EqualizerKicker 09QS60.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones)Kicker 09QS65.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones) - (3 Sets)2/0 Gauge Electron Beam Technologies (3 Runs, 2 +, 1 -) 1/0 Gauge KNU Kollasal Flex (1 Run for -) 300 Ft Kicker X-Series 16 Gauge Speaker WireXS Power D3400 (Rear)XS Power D3100 (Front)Singer Externally Regulated Alternator (Being Built)+ The Love for Car Audio and BASS <3UBL Build Log <------- Click Here-------> Normal Build Log (For Comments)
EVAlonSo
If you have an actual neutral safety wire in the vehicle, just hook it up and there will be no issues. relay to connect/interrupt your clutch switch and youre golden Edited November 24, 2011 by EVAlonSo Quote MECP MASTER CEA208509 Proud employee of Alarms, ETC in lakeland, FL ASE certified 2002 Tacoma: 4 RF P3 15s @ 28hz 2 RF T1500-1bdcps 2 pair Kicker QS 4 Pair RF Power 6s 3 RF p400-4 1 RF p200-2 ALP CDA-9887
