Fish Chris
http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/library/2005/3_Amplifiers/1230-51615-03_RF_Power1000-MAN.pdf Just look at this freaking thing ! It has freaking everything an amp could have. With a lot of other electronics, I'm not usually too impressed with bells and whistles, but with my P1000 5ch, I use nearly every feature this thing offers ! The 1, big, fat problem with this amp, is that it puts all of your eggs in 1 basket So when it comes time to upgrade, what do you do ??? I mean, if I were to get a really big, bad a$$ separate amp for my subs, what would I do with the sub ch in my P1000 ? I mean really, to upgrade from this amp, I'd have to buy at least 2, maybe 3 more amps ! Damnit, if only RF made a Power 2000..... or P4000.... I'd drop $1000 or $1500 on that for sure ! I know their are a TON of more powerful amps out there, but feature wise, none of them hold a candle to this one. It's going to be really tough to move on, and leave this one behind me..... loganberry
Just go with 2 really good stout amps a strong 4 channel and a good mono amp.....then you would have loads of power....get a couple good DC amps to throw back there.lol My F-150 Build GET ON THE BANDWAGON what if they tried messing with the amps when the subs werent louder hahah jk
kirill007
You can also use this amp as a 4channel or a 2channel. And buy a extra mono amp. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
OldsBoomer
UUse the sub channel for some nice midbass speakers and then get a nice sub amp too Suburban Coming Soon
Fish Chris
Logan, yea', that's probably what I will eventually do. But I'd REALLY like to have two 4ch amps, one for my 4 mids/highs, and one for my 4 mid-bass drivers.... so everything could have it's own channel. Then, as long as these amps were strong enough to give me the desired power at 4 ohms, everything would run so cool, clean, and efficient.... Wish I wasn't a broke arse OLds, yea', I've considered that too.... of course I would not have any stereo seperation between my mid-bass drivers > granted, the way I have them crossed over + the mounting position hardly has any stereo seperation as it is.... Hmmmm. Peace, Fish PS, I guess I should quit hoping for a bigger, badder 5ch amp than I already have.....
