Had a great trip yesterday. Caught a 19.2, a 19.7, and this 29.8 lb Striper :-) {of course these would be like two 30's and a 40, to anybody who goes fishing without a scale, right ? :) LOL} They fought ridiculously hard too, but still ended up getting their pictures taken :)

All were CPR'd.... (caught, photo'd, released) I do keep a few of the 10 to 13 lb'ers sometimes, but the bigger females need to go make babies.

Oh, I took this shot right after I got on the water yesterday morning. Really like it. Check the giant windmills on the left center. Those are literally about 10 miles away, but I was using a 400mm lens + they are HUGE ! (nearly 400 ft tall)

But now come on ! I swear, NO PHOTOCHOPPING on this one ! And have you ever seen a shot of the sun, which looks so much like the clouds were wrapped all the way around it ??? Damn near looks like Saturn, huh ? Oh yea.... maybe that was with my 40,000 mm lens ;)

Peace,

Fish

Can't wait to be out there again next week ! :)

Thanks guys :)

Orion, to be honest, the smaller 10 to 13 lb'ers taste a little better + are safer / healthier to eat, as they are not as old, so haven't had as much timne to absorb toxins and crap from the water.

I'm pretty picky about my fish though. Don't really care for Stripers. To me, they make better sport fish, than food fish.

But whenever I bring one home, my hungry a$$ room mates clean, grille, and devour them before that night is over :) So as long as they go to good use, I'll bring a smaller one home, here and there....

Peace,

Fish

It would be hard for me to put that fish back in the water. How does that kind of fish taste on the grill?
