You must not be from California....back when I was in to hardcore drag racing Southern California had a special task force of police called drag net who's job was strictly to bust illegal mods done to cars.they could pop your hood and tell if your radiator hose was after market or not cause that's all they did then right you a FAT ass ticket and send you to the C.A.R.B smog ref to have them then go over your car as well .....C.A.R.B stands for California Air Resource Board if anyone was wondering.....so trust me they now what belongs and what doesn't

One here Monday, right in front of my apartment complex.

I did some research, and unless laws have changed, you don't have to "participate" in those mobil smog setups. There is no law that says its illegal to drive right by, even if you're flagged.

Those road side smog inspections are unconstitutional. You can deny those 100 percent, just tell them you don't have any time that you're running late.

I am sure you can get by those and not have to participate, but something tells me you blow them off and they are flagging your plates so when you do get your emissions test they go over your stuff with a fine tooth comb!

Fortunately they got rid of that emissions BS here in Minnesota!!

All emergency vehicles, city busses, and even the "company" vehicles that state and city officials drive carry "exempt" plates. No registration fee's or smog checks.
