LCD vs. LED, What would YOU invest in?

Recommended Posts

spend money and get something good. they have lg led 47" for $800 same one i got 120hz. shit looks super good

This^^ We have an lg plasma that I think is 48" very clean picture. We have an Vizio <_< 58" LED @120hz and internet. The 120hz refresh rate makes everything you watch so realistic, I actually get dizzy watching it. We have every type of flat screen there is pretty much and the LED Vizio actually has the best picture... surprisingly. I'd go with the LED and make sure you get it in 120hz, it makes a HUGE difference.

And the fact more than one person agrees does not make it a circle jerk, it makes it a bukkake scene and you're in the middle ;)

If you're putting Vizio's LED at the top of anything then methinks you have in fact had every kind of flat screen.

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

of course to your original question, LCD vs LED.

both are LCD tvs, just the backlight is different.

If it was just between LED or not, I would go with the LED. You however, have way more options between those 2 TVs than just LED or not.

Also LCD's don't have a good view from different angles, you have to sit directly in front of the tv for the best picture.

What era LCD TV are you watching?

he's right, my samsung 40" LCD is only 2 years old and if you watch it from an angle the colors look terrible, you have to sit directly infront of it for it to look good, to the op between LCD and LED i'd go with LED but if you research more plasma is still top of the line imo 600hz refresh rate, 1080p, can't get much better than that, the only downside of plasmas is the glare from a well lit room and the power consumption, and to those that really care the difference in thickness between an LED and plasma is pretty big.

The reason many of you have had shitty experiences with lcd's is probably cuz you bought a cheap one and don't know your tv's. I have a Sony Bravia 46" z series with a 240hz refresh rate and it looks great from all vewing angles. Even my older 42" bravia s series with 60hz refresh rate looked great.
