Lbox88 Posted December 5, 2011 Report Posted December 5, 2011 I spent 3 weeks repairing a Power Acoustik PS2-2200(i think) and let my buddy hook up the outputs. 2Single 2 ohm 12's.... he wired them in parallel to 1 of the two channels. took about 5 minutes of play before it died again. I took a sledge hammer to it after that. I have yet to blow anything else. Destroyed the factory HU in my wife's escape trying to get it out, but nothing else on purpose or accident. UBL | Build Log
Quiet Posted December 5, 2011 Report Posted December 5, 2011 AMP: Had a 160 watt RMS sony amp, running two 4ohm JL 10w1 (originals) stereo. Wasn't loud enough so I wired it up 2 ohms mono. Was loud as fuck for about 4 hours (I'm sure it was mid 130dbs in a van) until the amp went to perma-protect. SUBS: With said subs 5 years later I blew them using a cheapo line out converter that was sending super clipped signal to the amp, which was already giving them around 180 a piece. Then I sold them on CL for $60, which was $10 more than I paid for them 7 years ago. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.

They just get louder and louder!!" Duh.
