Im not hating but I think that would have been a better choice for you with all this weight and lift. i have a dmax already, they are awesome but no use in two. thats like me lifting the dmax; i already have a lifted truck no use in two. more fun to keep them different. and the weight is not an issue for the 8.1 in the slightest, ive said it before but when it had the 46"s on it (the truck by itself weighed over 10k it pulled the dc van (over 12k on a trailer) over the seirra nevada mountains (up to 8% grades) at 70 mph all day its not a weak motor by any means. and it foes have a allison 1000 already. no 4l80 in this lol that would have been long gone. see comment below he hit it on the nose. Yeah agreed the dmax or cummins swap would work but he has stated that he wants to keep the 8.1L(496bigblock) because its unique and sets it apart from all the other monster trucks out there. I had an 8.1l and now have a dmax and I'll give it credit the 496 can hold its own! Not many of them out there because they only used them for a few years so its worth keeping around Besides he has a dmax he can use to long haul this beast anywhere! you the man i need another truck thats able to off road and stuff this one used to but its too top heavy now lol medians and little shit is one thing anything decently big like crush cars isnt really an option any more lol ya i will be cleaning up all that stuff as soon as i get the new wrap all designed lol im pretty over it at this moment. so much work been going into it in the last 6 months i need a break lol i dont have pics of just the truck. ill get some once the windshield gets fixed today and i can get it back on the road again. I learned a long time ago to separate wheeling rigs from dailys. Get a Toyota. Throw some dual cases in it. Cage it. And trailer it everywhere with this. You've got tons of awesome trails out west ya man i hear you all my buddies do all that stuff. its really fun we live less than an hour from rubicon so its really usable out here. how do you npt get tickets. isnt the law 54" to the headlights? if so you have to be pretty close head lights in this are over 72" tall. legal height as far as i know is 48" here. even if its 60" im pushing it past the might get out of the ticket point Id like to know the total msrp on this build lol i would like to know also. better to not keep track. been doing this over like 4 years. building to this point so im sure its an unreal amount. I hear he has a pretty good hookup on wire, which is like a $10k reduction on this build haha ya haha thats true. but we used cca 2/0. retail cost on it all is only 8 rolls of 2/0 cca at 115 each. some 14 ga like 300-400 ft. and some remote lol then some lugs (probably the most expensive part) but i bet it would only be 2-3gs tops tops in wire at retail. still a lot lol but not terrible. drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of this money pit lol Where did you get your interior leds from? we sell them. a local company to us called ecolight.
