ExtremeOz
I have a Alpine IVA-D800E and its the same everything flat and bass boost 15/15 and can turn it all the way up to 35/35 and no distortion light comes on =/ However i do have a question for that, I never listen to music past 18-22 so wouldn't that mean id need to turn my HU up to 35 just to get the maximum sound/potential out of my system? Real96SS
It seems as though the Alpine's don't distort.I see alot of people that have Alpines say that they don't distort. My Kenwood is the top model and it doesn't distort either but I didn't have my sub level all the way up either. So I think I will try it that way and see. craracer05
I have a Sony 720 in my Cherokee it showed no distortion either. Definitely proves that you should spend the money on a good head unit. Quote 2007 Scion Tc- T1500.1bdcp & t600.4, Three P3D212's Ported at 40hz, T2 6.5" Components, Rockford Marine 8" coax's. Baydestrian
Won't turning up the sub level introduce clipping? I thought maxing it out would be bad? I never have mine past 0, except when using iPOD thru the AUX then its at +3. I never have mine past 0, except when using iPOD thru the AUX then its at +3. Anything that's positive on an Alpine headunuit is the bass or treble. We are talking about the subwoofer level which has a range of 0 through 15, whereas the bass function has a range of -7 through +7. Setting the subwoofer level up to 15/15 should not induce clipping whereas turning the bass above 0/7 would. You can listen to your music at whatever volume you want. Just set everything according to the max input signal. otherwise you are just unnecessarily making your amp do extra work.
