She has a 9mm XD along with a conceal purse and I have a 45XD but will probably get a 1911. The XD is just a bit too heavy to carry frequently. n8ball2013 Posted December 31, 2011 Report Share Posted December 31, 2011 a 1911 is probably going to be just as heavy. you may go to a single stack mag and that will just counter the fact that the 1911 is not a polymer pistol. also the subcompact glocks in larger calibers are pretty damn snappy. my g27 is pretty silly for a 40. Since when to pistols have clips? If I am ever in a gun fight I pray that whoever is shooting at me has a high point pistol. Nothing fancy, thinking a glock 17 for the one I'll carry. Need to do it soon, I've had too many close calls, a knife just don't cut it in a gun fight.
