SA-12's Sundown audio. amp?

Recommended Posts

First of all, unless get a stupid good price, don't buy mainstream shit, it's just name. AQ2200, Crescendo bc2000, just a couple off the top of my head, good quality stuff and do rated power

I would have to completely disagree with that statement while AQ and Crescendo are solid ass amps that doesn't take away that there are mainstream companies that produce solid amps. Lets be real a RF amp is a beast and to be honest I usually suggest mainstream equipment to those who are new to car audio just because its easier to mention the name Kicker or Soundstream. I do agree a lot of mainstream products are crap but not all of them.

You can wire one sub at 1ohm and one sub at 4 ohm and wire the subs parallel with will come out with a 1.33ohm load. :) so get a 2k @ 1ohm amp... Crescendo BC2000D

You can also look into the hifonics BRZ series! Those are pretty solid amps if you can keep your voltage steady :clapping:

  • 2 months later...

I have those same exact subs.. I have them wired at 2 ohm on the Hifonics 1608D (1600 RMS at 1ohm) Super D Class Mono Amp

it says 2 ohm = 1100 RMS , but it has my whole car vibrating (Dodge Charger)

i would grab the SA-12s

plenty of affordable amps..i think the main thing with mainstream equipment is sometimes the price is a bit higher than some of the underground or less known brands...RF amps are great..but for the price you can get something with the same or more power of a lesser known brand...

AQ1200...$269.00 1200w @ 1ohm

RF t10001bd...$499.00 1000w @ 1ohm

I think this is a great example of mainstream vs less known brand
