False. At least for equal power. However the same current through 4 ohms will be more heat than 1 ohm, but it will also be more power, so its not really the same comparison. did you just disagree with me then say the same thing i said? At 4 ohms an amp will Run at a higher output voltage and a lower amperage which in the end means less heat being generated and more of the power being used to move the speaker. I guess I was just thinking about how amps have gotten hotter on 1ohm vs 2 or 4ohms and I guess that's mostly to do with the amount of current it draws, if an amp was producing the same amount of power at 4ohms it would be significantly hotter than at 1ohm and draw a bunch more current.
