Rephrase: don't cause enough resistance for me to give a shit about lol. .005 ohms of resistance might be a big deal to some people ;)

That will work, but I prefer to run an equal number of negative runs from the front battery to the rear as I have positive runs. No separate ground.

we did mine where there power wire went from my starting battery to the secondary then the ground wire from the cars chassis to the negative of the battery

put a fuse in the line from the battery to the amp regardless of the amp having fuses or not.

Imo.. best way to do it is 2 pos 2 neg per alternator... I. Also put a 3rd pos wire an neg wire from battery to alternator....plus multiple chasis grounds front an back.....just in case...serious spl competitors do 1 run of 0g per 100amps of current draw...do neg runs front to back alternator to back batterys.cause the back half of alternator is the actual ground that completes the 12v circuit..and you will get minimum resistence that way.which means more voltage amperage to your batterys an amps
