I love my aluminum cone Rockford Power 6.5's and 5.25's.

well i'd recommend the RE XXX's over either of those 2 rockford comp sets

and yes, i have worked with all 3s, i have the RE XXXs in my buddys impala, did an install in my friends civic with the T2s and the T1s in my other friends older impala

RE XXXs not sure about being worth 300 though, feel as though theres better for the money, however you can get great performance with them by running them active, properly

my kicker ks comps where good, but my polk db 6500's with my rockford punch 450.4 sound super clean and crisp, just haveing rca troubles, my shitty stinger rcas last longer than my $50 kicker 4ch rcas lol

signal cables with good amp helps the sound alot, still got my memphis pr150.2 but i jumped on the rf bandwagon even tho i got the amp at a steal lol, but well worth every penny

also eq'ed right the memphis msync sounds killer

but its weird that my comps had more midbass with my memphis amp than the rf, it manly goes on setup

has anyone ever made there own comp set or 3way? and what would be good for a mid range speaker, i need something in the 2-4'' range to put on the pillars to bring more sound up front to get rid of rear fill that i cant hear

Running active is too far out of my scope of experience, what I do know is...if you don't know what you're doing it can sound pretty shitty....

no

my JBL p660c comps are 2 ohms, and their the best set i've owned, and they sound better than the RE XXX comps my buddy has, even he'll say so

i was looking into the jbls for a while espically the 2 ohm

i have beyma which have the lowest distortion of any speaker on the market today

an i fucking love em sound as good as they do down low as they do full tilt! and they are only 199 on audio savings
