When I drill metal I lubricate the bit and turn at a slower speed. I drilled a handful of holes in 3/16 steel the other day. It takes a while but it keeps the bit alive.

All I know is that tacomas have shitty frames...I drilled through it no problem. Sanded it down good and secured my grounds. Was getting voltage drop down to 10v. Switched my grounds to the batts and was back up to 13.5+

where do you think those batts are grounded?

Do not drill at full speed. Use a good bit, and you should have no problems.

Seatbelt bolt?? :pardon:

Seriously though, if your battery is grounded to the frame of your truck and if your connections are good then you shouldn't see voltage drops into the 10's. Unless the frame is made of plastic

Lol guess I'll have fun drilling my frame. Try starting with a smaller bit nd work your way up to the size you need. Sharp bits make a work of difference.
