aswearingin
I just received my w7 the other day, and I was a little confused on which amp to get. At first I was set on getting the Rockford Fosgate T1500, but then I hit a bump. Can the sub be wired to 1ohm? It is a dual 1.5 vc, I don't really understand what that means but I know I need an amp that is at least 1 ohm stable. I could always go with the jl audio 1000/1v2 but it's a little pricier than the RF amp. Would it be safe to wire the sub to 1 ohm using the rf amp? Thanks for the help. corey0928
You can wire the sub at .75 or 3 ohm. So you need to get an amp that can be wired at .75 without gong into protect or one that will give you power at 3 ohm
Dakota Sapinsky
I spent over 6 grand on a 2 12w7 setup, honestly, it cant even hit 143 db, it sucks. JL is such a waste of money, unless you only care about SQ. Try DC audio

notorious97200
Run it at 3 Ohms and find an amp like the Alpine pdx 1000 or 1200, or even a RF(don't know which one). They make big power at 4 Ohms too. You don't need to run 1000 watts rms to this sub. 750 can be enough to sound good and be loud. (JL 750/1 HD something) Focus more on the box and maybe on your electrical to have enough juice ! EclipseChris
Wiring an amp to 3 ohms actually gives a significant amount more power than being at 4, so consider that. aswearingin
Is it a big deal if the sub is wired at 3 ohm or .75 ohms? And would a rf t500bdcp put out 1500 rms at 3 ohms?
