christamez80
I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I have 2 kicker solobaric L7 15's with 2 planet audio bb2400.1 strapped together. i have the subs in a probox which is 4 cubic feet per sub plus port. i believe it is tuned at 45 hz. i know these subs get louder and kicker says to do 6 cubic feet per sub plus port but im new to port tuning and have no clue on how to do this. Also i want it to be musical cuz its a daily driver. i have my system in a 05 tahoe so i have room. i was told to face them up and the port towards the back. Can anyone help me with how to build the box, with measurements along with port size? i would appreciate any help you guys can give me.
Bump4life
look around 3-4 cubes net per sub. tune from 32-38hz for daily.give them some descent port area. around 100 sq inches. i have no experience with kicker. but just some basic info and numbers to work around. Bump4life
thats fine your asking. a couple people on here might be able to design you a box. i dont have any experience with kicker so i dont want to give you a ok design. you want a good one haha/ but those parameters i gave you should be a good starting point Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now. new guy
the l7s love there port. i had one in a 3.5 - 4 cube box with 13ish port per foot tuned to 33htz and that thing SLAMED on only 900 rms. if i were you id do 8 or 9 cubes net tuned to 35 with a good amount of port. dont tune to low though i found that l7s dont like to play too low <30htz. if you cant find anyone to make u a design shoot me a pm sometime and ill see what i can throw together. *current* 1991 honda crx si 2 skar audio 12s pioneer 6.5s dual 400 watt amp audio technix db 1/0 wiring kit. dual head unit

Bump4life
i dont agree with new guy. you will probably want closer to 15sq of port area per foot. don't go over 4 cubes net per sub unless you are way underpowering. even if you arent. no more than 8 net Buyer/Seller Feedback Thread: http://www.stevemead...5015-bump4life/ MB C220 153 Trunk Car Build Log: http://www.stevemead...d/#entry1840136 MB C280 Ipad Dash SQ Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194484-bump4lifes-new-benz-tony-c-relay-kit-pictures-ce-electric-audison-front-stage-installed/ My SPL Log: http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 BMW M340 xDrive Stock, for now. general_neo
Hey, the l7's love bigger box. They dont do wonders unless you do the box that is mentioned in the manual or know what you are doing exactly. Try to follow the 6cuft box mentioned in the manual. Or send that info to someone who is going to design the box to suit your vehicle. I have build a lot of kicker L7s. On bigger box they can even work with lower power due to efficiency. Dont build smaller boxes as it will be peaky and not sound musically right
