Watch the bass Posted April 17, 2012 Report Share Posted April 17, 2012 They known as a bang buck product, the AP line doin more than rated, the newer ASPM line doin near rated. There is a clamptest in the ampsection where Fecupe clamped over 1800 watt´s out of a AP 1500 D @ 14.x volt´s. They get a little bit dirty if you turn the gain more than 3/4. The biggest misconception is AP will do rated but that power is dirtier than a $2 hooker. Yes it is a good budget amp, yes it will do rated but at the cost of quality. Honestly for the price I would just go and look at the amps Ray is selling. Guy ended up doing a trade in and got the rockford 1500bd amp. Current system (still building) 2 kicker 12" dcvr in factory kicker ported box, Rockford Fosgate 1200.1 Amp, Kenwood ddx-470 ddin radio, Rockford Fosgate 0 Gauge wiring, Rockford Fosgate punch 6X8 2 way speakers.
