Here is a suggestion:

Fb = 36 Hz

Vb = 7.8 ft^3

External Height = 20 in

External Width = 37 in

External Depth = 28 in

Port Width = 18 in

Port Height = 6 in

Cut Sheet List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.

* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

2 x Top & Bottom (3 parts) = 37 x 28

Left & Right Sides = 26 1/2 x 17 3/4

Front & Back = 37 x 17 3/4

L Port Internal Assembly Parts:

Front to Back = 16 1/4 x 19 1/2

Port Left Side Assembly:

Don't recommend 32Hz tuning for these subs.

That's Awesome! I'm about to pick up a circular saw and jigsaw, and I already have 2 sheets of MDF, screws, drills, glue, and loctite to seal it up along with fiberglass resin! I'm excited to get this done and in my car Going to try and get it done this weekend.

Ok so here's the port assembly sketchup :

And here is a plot comparing performance of 32 and 36Hz tuning:

32Hz is green, you certainly get a bit louder on 36Hz but the tuning can be lowered if needed.

Yes you will be a little louder tuning @36hz. But what are your goals? Are you wanting to be louder on the lows? Or just meter good?

I recommend the 32hz tuning. It will sound deeper and you will feel the low notes better.

The box I did for 3 12" L5's was tuned @33hz and it was by far the best sounding my Kickers EVER were. And that was on ALL types of music, since I am also a metal head as well as a bass head...

IMO considering I did 151s with 2 L7 15s off 2200 watts clamped, I would build the box bigger then 8 cubes net, more like 10-12 cubes net, they will hit much lower and produce a much higher SPL with more air space you have to treat these like 18 due to the obvious fact they are square.

If you think you'll notic 2db of gain @ -3db on 31hz then tune to 32 but some how I don't think so,

And cabin gain will help level it out

If you speek to Barry at kicker he'll tell you 38-45hz is the best tune and that there boxes are 55-60hz

those graphs are completely fucking irrelevant. i dont know why people obsess over them. that just shows the frequency response of the box sitting on your driveway with a mic a foot from it. that graph changes COMPLETELY once you put the box in your car.

This^ L7s love their airspace

I had 4 L7 15"s in a 20+ cube box
