Ive ran 16kw on 2-12's in a 6cuft gross box single layer with 3 braces in it. Never budged. Did 53's all year with it. Honestly, how many trunks or hatches draw moisture? And how well does MDF like moisture? I'd rather spend the extra $50 and know for sure it's as good as it can be, strong and sealed, and water resistant... Sure hope with your logic you're glassing wires, batteries, and any amps in your trunk or hatches. Holy shit. Don't forget to glass your subs, no point in having a water resistant box but a sub still vulnerable to water damage Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

Never So unless you like to wash your boxes with a garden hose, its pointless for daily application. Well don't I feel like quite the dumb-ass! Okay okay, you guys made your point. I was really just trying to justify why I did it. Point taken, I won't be glassing up anymore boxes. I will however still use resin to seal the seams, not to keep the water out, but to keep the air in... If for no other reason, it's because I like painting resin in the corners....
