Mikey Bates
So i want everything in my system to be turned off and on with their own switch, and then a master switch. i have a lot of lights and im going to have fans and such. right now. I run a wire from battery to a switch, and then to my underdash lights. that works good for a small setup. but im getting this distributer . . . the main wire is going to be a fused 4 gauge strait from the front battery. and then each accessory from that (this only has 6, im getting one with 15) im going to put in a switch for each one. my questions is how to put a switch on the 4 gauge wire? i am also going to have some extra batteries in the rear with a few runs of 0 gauge running up front but this 4 gauge will be to the front battery suggestions? Guest
you could do a circuit breaker for the 4 gauge. thats the only thing i can see being used realistically

baaudio
you could use a battery isolator solenoid and use the turn on input to switch it on or off Quote Team NWSPL baaudio Build Log 2001 GMC Sierra walkthrough 4 Mechman Elite 370s, 10 AGM batteries, 3 Crossfire XS v2 18s, Crossfire 8k

Torres
i was going to suggest one of those circuit breakers too. just have it go in to one side, out the other. and make sure the fuse rating is bigger than what your wire is fused at. you want that acting as a switch, not a fuse. Wicks
Try to switch off all the small switches (loads) before you cut the master. Mechanically switching a high current line will lead to arcing on the contacts which will increase your inline resistance and cause voltage drops. It'll be damn expensive but a solid state DC relay would be a great option.
