OrionStang Posted May 5, 2013 Author Report Share Posted May 5, 2013 So, all the marked area's will be cut away, leaving a 1/2" of the trim piece overlapping the box. Gonna be a tight fit. Will add in these corners since there is so little material there. Once the fit is right, it will be transferred to 1/2" mdf, 3/4" is too wide. I will still have to fill a couple spots along the bottom edge. Similar to my XL 10" build, the trim piece will be sandwiched between the box and car. Foam will be used around the edges to prevent any leaks from tiny gaps, with blue tape laid down first. And no cutting tonight. Beer and free-hand jigsaw cuts don't mix LOL.
