Quiet Posted September 25, 2015 Report Share Posted September 25, 2015 my first shot at a home made soup... chicken breast onion celery zucchini black beans black eye peas garlic brown rice thyme rosemary parsley salt basically threw a whole bunch of shit in a pot and cooked it for 2 hours. Came up with this tasty combination; 1 package of Hershey's box pudding mix, 2 cups Tru-Moo (2% chocolate milk), 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder. (No pics, you all know what pudding looks like LOL). Makes two good size servings-380 calories 4g total fat 58g carbs 24g protein Or, break it down into 4 smaller portions- 190 cal. 2g fat 26g carbs 12g protein This does have sugar, but a better option than cake and cookies LOL. This one was a lot more fatty than last time, took me a solid hour to mix up the rub and chop up the meat while cutting all the fat away. Been sitting since about midnight though, won't go into the crock pot til about midnight tonight so it can be hot and ready to shred by tomorrow morning. Best way to make good use of a cast iron pan to make steak 1" cut or thicker get the pan pretty hot on the stove, preheat your oven 400° Sear the steak 60-90 seconds on one side, turn off stove then sear the other side 60 seconds. Throw in oven 10 mins for medium 7 for med rare. Put a tablespoon of butter on top before you close the door. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.
