79 cutty Posted May 28, 2013 Report Posted May 28, 2013 My household doesn't eat red meat, or pork.....pretty much just fish, with occasional chicken or turkey, but this weekend I grilled up some nice steaks for the extended family. Forgot how fun it is to grill some red meat, and how good it smells on the grill! Lol Why no red meat or pork? Religion? Never been a fan for as long as I can remember. Probably been a good 20 years since I have eaten any of it. On top of that what really sealed it for me was in culinary school when we were cutting veal chops on the band saw and I got squirted in the face with blood.....lmao, not very appealing after that anyways! Firm believer in letting my cars do my talking! You can't rush quality, it doesn't happen overnight. Quality takes time and dedication, but the end results more than pay for it. Never lost my appetite for it other than it takes so many damn squirrels to make a good meal out of them unless you don't mind a rather thin stew. If Anything, I prefer red meat. I strangely enough have always enjoyed cooking steaks and stuff when I used to do cooking and catering, just not eating them! You ever do "black and blue?" Says it hurts so bad sometimes it's painful to have a sheet on his toe when he goes to sleep. Doesn't stop the meat consumption though! It hurts like no other but I have been able to repeatedly verify that beef triggers it. And yep, even something as light as the bed sheet can make you wince in pain sometimes. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild.
