And it never really took off But Kicker does have a few SPL cars in their own museum. The Gate's red bronco is there. If I'm not mistaken Greg Welch's "Maximus" that I mentioned earlier is there as well. One of his vans was, I believe it was that one. Yup, thats in there. Cinda Welch has been thinking about bringing it back out to shows. quakecitystudio Posted June 13, 2012 Author Report Posted June 13, 2012 The pioneers of the industry and their vehicles.In the funky chamber have it where people could compare the decibel levels.Of live concerts,space shuttle launch etc so there is a comparison of car audio to the loudest things in the world.Me with a hot dog going down memory lane . I'll make sure the concession stand carries hotdogs for you, lol. I would like to see a section designated for the engineers and designers. People like Wayne Harris, Jim Fosgate, Robert Zeff, Rich Coe, Jack Matheny, and a host of others. Without these people many of our "big" companies would not be heralded or known today. Most definitely I would like to see the builds from the very first sanctioned bass competition. I would like to know when big bass in vehicles first started. I think Kool Herc was one of the pioneers of putting big stereos in the cars, because he used to have crazy house parties, and the speakers would be tall towers that he would parade around the hood in a convertible. aN-i-No Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 The evolution of the Head Unit..from 8 tracks to tapes to CD's to USB. The first Double Din, the first Pull-out, the first Flip-out.... Hell the old amps with the Xover cards/chips would be cool. I'd love to see the evolution of the technology in general. Maybe even a few isobaric setups. It'd be dope to have it setup in little booths where they explain the technology...eg. "The Implementation of Helmholtz Resonance: Ported Enclosures."
