StreetMetalBen Posted June 22, 2012 Report Posted June 22, 2012 Im trying to figure out the best box for my girls car. Its a 97 Accord sedan, with the drop down armrest, and access hole into the trunk. Right now i will be using a 12" Fosgate HX2. She like the Bestbuy-style, generic bandpass boxes, which would work well for her, because sh is always carrying stuff in her trunk, and i don't want to hurt the sub. Plus grilles look tacky in my opinion. So I want to build her a 4th order sub forward, port forward, bandpass box with plexi covering the sub, just like the cheapy boxes. But i also want it to sound good, and be able to hold some power, if i ever go ip to a bigger sub in the future. And advice? I also want it to take up as little depth as possible. But it can be 33 wide by 14 tall. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Tarball Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 May be better to do a rear facing design where you can load the sub from the rear with the plexi also rear so you can see and show the thing off from the trunk and have the port firing through th access hole. What size is the access hole to your girls trunk? ROLEXrifleman Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 I like loading from the rear. Sometimes though the hole is too small and you have to blow it open to fit it in. Have you ever had to open one up b4 to get it in? If you were closer I would come by and help you out. You could watch and learn. Rolex you sicken me. Just let me finish my pie ~ Juice
