Running Wires Straight Through the Box.

Recommended Posts

So, I've scrapped the whole bolt terminal idea..

My Sub & new Batt is going to be here within an hour or two.

I'm just going to run my wires straight through the box, gonna drill a whole..

So, what should I use to seal it up?

Fiberglass resin is probably out of the question as I don't think I have that in my garage & I'm pretty much out of money.

I do however think I've seen some wood glue, but idk how well that will hold up, or even seal off the hole if that.

New Setup;

Highs; Vifa NE25VTS-04.

i've found that liquid spray on rubber works pretty easy. it's like 10 bucks a can at wal mart. just don't drill too big of a hole

Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs.

More box builds

some cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches!

I'm with captain stupid.

make the hole small and force the wire through, if you cant get the wire through use the same bit and run it through the whole one more time then try agian. get the hole just big enough to where the wire will barely force through it and then use some caulkin, silicone, or the rubber spray.

Silicone, hot glue, tape, really anything. It's not a structural part of the box, and it's not a huge gap to fill.

When you drill the holes, drill them JUST large enough to run the wire through. You should have to push a bit, so the wire is 'pressure fitted' in the hole.
