Break in period...really?

Recommended Posts

there are really some stupid ass comments in this thread. i bet you guys drive a car off the lot with 20 miles on it and race it like you stole it too...

i know right i don't even think the tranny would be adjusted so . . hard shift! snap bring car back in i wanna refund all because we didn't wanna wait for the tranny to get its shit straight

as for the sub i think just banging on it will just show maybe a spider or surround didn't get enough glue or had bad glue but i don't know

nope because a car motor and a sub motor are completely different in every way comparing the 2 is ridiculous

Have you ever had your woofers blown?

These threads should be banned/locked just like vs. threads.

Someone needs to make a sticky explaining sub break in, then all these threads should be locked.

i like to break in my subs , half power , lows , for about a week and then go full tilt. . . .

thats just me , i am the one paying for them , breaking them in for a few days aint gonna hurt anything,

i dont know about loking threads.....its just a question i dit not mean to be a VS threas....is it?

umm...there is some facts. that i had with my first 18˝ subwoofer, it was an RE SX d2 and i played full tilt from the begining, and never had any problems....but it died quickly later after 4-5 months...

there was no clipping, however the box was tuned to 38hz....

so i wanna ask a similiar question

DOES tunning a box in Higher frequency makes more clipping?

im asking because when i tuned my SX box to 28 hz there was NO clipping even at full tilt...
